Militants of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) Kupe Muanenguba I Section, Bangem, celebrated the 41st anniversary of the party, showering congratulatory messages to President Paul Biya’s clairvoyant leadership and ongoing road projects in the division.

Under the supervision and coordination of H.E. Professor Elvis Ngole Ngole, Head of the CPDM Central Committee Permanent Delegation to Kupe Muanenguba, the ceremony took place on March 24, 2026 at Paul Biya’s stadium under the theme, “Let us Prepare to further Consolidate the Strength and Position of the Party behind the National President.”

In a motion of support signed by Mesumbe Mbokelume Ambrose, CPDM Section President, Ajang Christina Emade, WCPDM Section President, and Nkwelle Peter Atabe, YCPDM Section President, they saluted President Biya for consistent victories at most elections, including the recent October 2025 Presidential Election.

The militants celebrated the recommencement of works on the Bangem-Nguti road and the imminent maintenance of the Bangem-Melong Road and Bangem-Tombel road. They also acknowledged the President’s instruction to urgently address abandoned projects in the division, including the Finance Building in Bangem, the Ekona-Mombo Bridge, and the Divisional Officer’s residence.

In an appraisal speech, Ewane Clifford Ngabe, representative of the CPDM Kupe Muanenguba Divisional Permanent Delegation of the Central Committee, clarified the theme of the celebration, which he said reflects on the moto, the ideals, and the objectives of the CPDM party.

He delivered the message of the Central Committee through the PDD Head, H.E. Elvis Ngole Ngole, that of encouragement, vigilance, and constant mobilization of militants and sympathizers for upcoming municipal and parliamentary elections. He congratulated the Section President for the great mobilization efforts evident in their landslide victory at the October 2025 Presidential Election.

Ngabe thanked Minister Elung Paul Che, Deputy Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic, for his role in the Bangem-Nguti road project. He called on militants to pray for him as the project advances.

He also mentioned ongoing projects funded by the state, South West Regional Assembly and the Bangem Council. “Bangem is resolute behind the CPDM and the CPDM is also behind Bangem to provide their development needs.” The Central Committee Representative added.

Ewane joined militants to pay tribute to the late Mbong Michael Mbine, former representative of the CPDM Central Committee Permanent Delegation to Kupe Muanenguba I Section, with a minute of silence.

He urged them to continue praying for the repose of his soul, together with that of Late Mama Ewane Monica, his own mother who was the pioneer WCPDM Sub Section President of Grand Nhia Bangem from 1985 to 2000 (three mandates) and who also passed on some weeks back.

The event featured a paper presentation by Dr. Akale Ramsom Sone on “The Importance of Party Unity and Mobilization in CPDM Kupe Muanenguba I Section, Bangem,” and Epie Vivian on “Juvenile Delinquency.”

The ceremony concluded with a march past, traditional dances and choral singing.

Also present at the event was the Senior Divisional Officer of Kupe Muanenguba, Nguia Beina Theophile, the Divisional Officer of Bangem Sub Division, Dairou Saly, the Mayor of Bangem, Council, Ekungwe Christopher Kang, the North West Regional Delegate of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Ekane Ivo, amongst others.
