Emade Eunice Ekwe, CEO of BLIS Global Association Cameroon, is on a mission to bridge the digital gap and empower young girls in STEM education.
Speaking to The Ultimate, Her organization is working tirelessly to promote innovation, job-ready skills, and entrepreneurship among young people, especially girls, through coding, robotics, and creative learning.

According to Emade, cultural stereotypes and limited access to digital tools are major challenges facing girls in STEM. However, she said BLIS Global is addressing these issues by showcasing female mentors, providing affordable training, and partnering with schools to integrate coding early.
The CEO revealed that the impact of their work is evident in success stories like Ngozika, a university student who started with zero coding knowledge and is now a facilitator coaching younger girls; Kumo Pascaline, a final-year ICT student who became the overall best software engineer; and Belibi, a Form Five student who came second in the Tech Education Challenge 2025.

Emade’s advice to young girls interested in STEM is simple: “Do not limit yourself. STEM is not about gender; it is about curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.”
She said her organization is creating a strong support system around girls through collaborations with schools, communities, and stakeholders.

With over 14 years of experience in education systems strengthening, youth development, and entrepreneurship education, Emade is a leading voice in promoting STEM education and digital literacy. Her work aligns with global priorities on quality education, gender equality, and innovation.

It should be noted that STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It’s an interdisciplinary approach to learning that focuses on these four subjects, aiming to develop skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and creativity. STEM education prepares students for in-demand careers in fields like tech, engineering, and research, and is all about innovation and making a difference!
