As we celebrate Women’s Day, we spotlight Bume Ada Olive Epse Kima-Oben, founder of Miss Kupe Muanenguba, a platform empowering young girls through leadership, education, and cultural pride. With over two decades of experience in project management, Bume Ada Olive is dedicated to transforming her community.

The inspiration for Miss Kupe Muanenguba came from my desire to create opportunities for young girls in our communities to discover their potential and develop confidence in themselves.
“Growing up in a rural environment, I understood that many talented girls lack platforms where they can express themselves, build leadership skills, and be recognized. This is how Miss Kupe Muanenguba birthed.” she stated.

Miss Kupe Muanenguba goes beyond a beauty pageant, offering a development platform where girls learn public speaking, leadership, and community service. “Education is the foundation of empowerment,” Bume Ada emphasizes. “When a girl is educated, she gains knowledge, confidence, and the ability to make informed decisions about her future.”
The initiative addresses essential skills for girls’ success, including digital literacy, leadership, and entrepreneurship. Winners receive project management training, equipping them to drive community development and improve livelihoods.

Bume Ada’s vision is clear: “Believe in your potential and never limit your dreams. Your background should never define your future.” Her advice to women entrepreneurs resonates: “Start with purpose, collaborate, and remain committed to your vision.”
Miss Kupe Muanenguba promotes cultural heritage, encouraging girls to appreciate their roots while embracing modern education and leadership. The initiative has inspired many, with winners becoming ambassadors for education and community development.
Beyond her professional career, Bume said she is deeply committed to community development, particularly in her village of origin, Nyasoso, in the Kupe Muanenguba Division.

Through Better Cameroon CIG (BETCAM), she is involved in initiatives that empower young people and women, promote culture, and support sustainable development. One of these initiatives is Miss Kupe Muanenguba.
She announced that preparations are already hitting up ahead of Miss Kupe Muanenguba.
As Cameroon celebrates Women’s Day, Bume’s work serves as a testament to the power of women empowering women.
Bume Ada holds an MBA in Project Management from Anglia Ruskin University in the United Kingdom, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Project Management with a focus on Sustainable Change Management for Project Innovations. She is also a certified PMO professional, an international speaker, and a volunteer with the Project Management Institute at the global level.
