She said through training and sponsorship, women are now producing and selling pastry products, liquid soap, and powder, improving their families’ living conditions.<\/p>\n
The President added that with assistance from South West Development Authority, SOWEDA, NYAWIDDA has supplied farm tools and seedlings to women, promoting agriculture and self-sufficiency. \u201cThe association has also organized adult literacy classes, enabling women to read and write their names and sign important documents.\u201d She added.<\/p>\n
She further revealed that one of the association\u2019s main objectives is sponsoring the Girl Child. \u201cSince 2020, we have provided full scholarships to 50 less privileged girls in GHS Nyasoso, who have achieved excellent results in their exams.\u201d She\u00a0 added.<\/p>\n Despite these achievements, President Alobwede regretted that the poor road network remains a major challenge, making it difficult for women to transport their products to markets. \u201cNYAWIDDA is calling on the government and local councils to improve the Tombel-Bangem-Melong road.\u201d<\/p>\n The association\u2019s message to Kupe Muanenguba women is clear: \u201cCome and learn the trick.
