Government Secondary School, GSS Muebah-Nninong, has emerged South West football boys’ champion at the national FENASSCO League “A” games. The team qualified at the regional finals on April 7, 2026, in Buea, defeating Government High School, GHS Mamfe, in penalty shootouts, 5-4.

Kupe Muanenguba also shone in other domains at the Regional Finals, with notable performances in shot put, long jump, and athletics.

The Muebah-Nninong team had previously qualified for the regional finals at the divisional finals on April 4, 2026. Divisional Delegate of Sports and Physical Education, Nzuonkwelle Lovert, congratulated the team and announced preparations for the national finals in Bafoussam on April 19, 2026. “We call on elites to support us as we prepare,” he said.

Divisional Delegate of Secondary Education, Njikang Peter Mejame, praised the athletes’ performance, advising that “hard work is the key to success.” He pledged psychological support for the team to bring home the trophy.

The Principal of GSS Muebah-Nninong, Nhon Enongene Alobwede lauded his team for the outstanding performance. He said they are prepared to grab the national football trophy and bring the glory to Kupe Muanenguba on April 19.

The President of Nninong Cultural and Development Association, NICDA, Prince Mballe Makoge has congratuled GSS-Muebah for lifting the name of Kupe Muanenguba high.

He said elite of Nninong are mobilizing to support GSS-Muebah football team to keep the players psychologically and morally fit for victory at the the national competition.

“There’s no doubt about it. GSS-Muebah is bringing the trophy to Kupe-Muanenguba.” He added.
