In a heartwarming display of generosity and love, the Country Director of Agroproduce Management Services, AMS Ltd, Pastor Etake Divine and wife, Mbole Pamela epse Etake, have donated foodstuff and basic needs to over 300 widows in Bangem Sub Division.

The thanksgiving and donation ceremony took place recently at the Apostolic Church Bangem. The modern church edifice was constructed by Etake Divine for Christians to fellowship in a comfortable environment, and advance the work of God.

In his homily, Rev. Evangelist Paul Tom Kamga, member of the National Council of the Apostolic Church Cameroon, preached on the theme, “God Give me a Divine Helper,” with reference from Luke 10: 30-37 from the Holy Bible.

He said destiny helpers are those who add value to one’s life, like Pastor Etake Divine whom God has brought as a destiny helper to Bangem and the Bakossi land.

Rev.  Kamga appreciated the Etakes for their yearly donation to widows in Bangem Sub Division, equating him as a divine helper to the less privileged. He prayed for God’s abundant blessings on the couple as they celebrate 25 years in marriage.

The Thanksgiving

In the thanksgiving session, Pastor Etake disclosed that after their wedding anniversary in Douala last December, they have returned home to appreciate God for their diamond jubilee celebration.

He recounted that as a couple, their journey has not been easy. “We are thanking God for the process of our lives. We have gone through the good, the bad and the ugly. Our life is a whole package.” He disclosed.

He told Christians to trust in the Lord and serve God wholeheartedly because God does not fail whoever depends on him.

Pastor Etake called on the widows to be prayerful and be closer to God at all times , assuring them that whenever they call in prayers, God will answer and provide their needs according to his riches in glory.

The Donation

The handing over of gifts to the widows was presided by the Divisional Officer of Bangem Sub Division, Dairou Saly.

Each widow received a basin of 5kg of rice, groundnut oil, sardine, packets of maggi cube, tablets of soap, sachets of powder soap, tomatoes, and bathing soap.

Besides, the Etakes doled out transport fare to all the widows, and also fed them with cooked food, and drinks.

Speaking to the press, Pastor Etake said their yearly donation to widows is in fulfillment of the scripture which urged Christians to give to the needy.

He said in the nearest future, the donations shall be under “Divine Intervention Foundation,” following the prophesy of his name.

On her part, Mme Etake said real Christianity is to meet the needs of the less privileged, and they have chosen the widows to extend love and share with them yearly. “If we live for God, we must ensure that we carry out this Godly practice.” She added.

Appreciation

At the end of the ceremony, the widows danced and showered praises to God and the Etakes for once again wiping their tears.

Ewane Rose Lombe from Ekangte village prayed God to bless Pastor Etake mightily for remembering widows who are most often abandoned in the society.

Sumwa Martina from Enyandong prayed God to protect the couple to live longer and carter for the needs of widows and orphans.

Mbong Irene from Ndibesi I also shower praises to the good hearted couple. She prayed for God’s blessings on their entire families.

Ewanoge Emih said she was elated and happy with her gifts.

The donation session was coordinated by the Director of Women’s Empowerment and the Family Center, Bangem, Mwene Agnes  Senge.
