Tanyi Nixson Ngoh, an illustrious son of Ebonji, Tombel Sub Division, Kupe Muanenguba Division, South West Region, has been honored with an award as the Knight of the Cameroon Order of Valor.

The ceremony to award medals for meritorious and distinct services to some Cameroonians in different spheres, took place at the Unity Palace on April 1, 2026.
Tanyi, who works at the Ministry of Finance, received the medal for meritorious services to the state.
While affixing the medal on Tanyi Nixson, the Minister, Director of the Civil Cabinet of Cameroon, Samuel Mvondo Ayolo congratulated him and disclosed that the award reflects his outstanding contributions and dedication to the state.

Speaking to The Ultimate at the end of the ceremony, Tanyi Nixson said he was excited to receive a medal of this magnitude in his 30s.
“This incredible honor is a testament to the power of hard work and dedication. I sincerely thank the Head of State, H.E. Paul Biya for this recognition and my family, mentors, and collaborators for their unwavering support. I usually think the medal of the Knight of the National Order of Valor is meant for people going on retirement. I feel so honoured to receive this medal at this time.” Tanyi disclosed.

He promised to proudly serve and contribute to the growth of the nation.
It should be noted that on February 11, 2026, Tanyi donated a radiant warmer (baby incubator), and ten hospital beds to the Ebonji Sub Divisional Hospital (CMA) to curb infant mortality and death rates in Ebonji and neighboring villages.
